Time for an update on this, got the trumpeter underway. I cracked on rather than bore everyone with another cuirassier build.

I have decided he will be a 10th Regiment fella, following a Rousselot reference he will be clad in a yellow habit with white lace on the lapels.

The lace is make from paper and sealed with liquid sprue. I have also added bulk to his cheeks as I want him blowing the trumpet once he has arms!

Love the wolfstooth. Paper coated in PVA?
Thanks Rob, the ones cast onto the saddles aren't the best so I like to replace them. Yes they are paper from a pack of post it's, initially held in place and shaped with water and PVA glue. Once dry I like to stiffen them up with liquid sprue, it's a pain cutting them out but looks better than the soft detail in the plastic.

Nice work. And you're making very good progress.
Cheers David, this was always going to be a slow project due to the huge number of figures in it. Ok not huge but three horses, three saddles and three riders plus the ground work and accessories is a hell of a lot of stuff to do. Really starting to wonder why I thought it was a good idea in the first place. But b@[[@@ks to it I'm enjoying it!! Also had too much gin but what he hell.

Cheers Simon
