Hi Steve

Always look foward to seeing your work, yet again another fine piece, look foward to seeing it for real next weekend.

Cheers

Hardy Harrrrrrrr matey. . .

Wow, just an excellent example, IMHO, of perfect COLOUR HARMONY, . .
your choice of colours and the skilled painting of same,
as I think of the vertical stripes on the "pants" (breeches??) et cetera.

Let's pick the jacket for example. The red has that bluish cast to it and is
muted so well, and then that violet or purple shade of the cuffs that works
so well with the blue tie in the head and the red jacket. So much intelligent
thinking seen here. Whew. . . And then more of a violet shade in the
scabbard and a bluish tint in the sword itself. Von da bar. . . (y) (y)

You sir, are a true artist. I love this piece.

I'm stoked now, and eager to give my latest figure painting problem a nudder
try. . . Thanks,

Jayhawker

Exellent work on the painting Steve, i find the dirty/off white of the trousers very realistic and that jacket very nicely done, a beautifull looking figure.

Thank you so much for the replies everyone...they are as always much appreciated.

Jayhawk...glad you liked it so much, always nice to see someone else's point of view of a figure and you've pointed those areas out so well...even I didn't know the colours where there:):):)...thank you.

Karsten...good to hear from you...I am still holding good memories from Kulmbach.(y)

Yes Tommi...all being well I will see you on Saturday.

Thanks again for looking.

Cheers Steve Walks
