Im painting this little fellow but have no idea what the arrow like thing he is holding under his right arm. What is it? What is it made of? And what does the real thing look like?

Im pretty confident that you will sort this out for me.

It's the arrow Danny was wounded with during a battle. He survived, thus convincing the Kafiristanis (?) he was a god.

I thought that it might have been an accessory for non commissioned.

It is a tad bit embarrassing as I listened to it, not a long ago. Perhaps I should pay better attention to the audiobooks, my excuse is that Im usually modelling when listening.
