Yes, this is just fantastic painting. It has the feel of a renaissance painting. I love it and can't wait to see it finished.

Thanks to everyone for all your wonderful comments. Not sure of the exact scale, I am sure Friendship Models will know.I think this was sculpted by Pete Morton? The metals are from the Games Workshop with the addition of Vallejo gunmetal. All flesh done in oils with my usual colours, with a touch of satin varnish in the eyes.

Amazing face David.
Very realistic.
I did the illusion that this figure begins to speak now.
The wonderful natural tone.
I'm looking forward to completion.

Great work David, the eyes are very realistic and actually look wet. Metals look very good too.

That is an AWESOME job as always Dave :)

Unbelievable "metals in acrylic" WOW!!!

A lot of members have mentioned the eyes David has done on this figure, Thats just the photos, wait till you see the eyes on the figure. I think they are the best I have ever seen and I dont say that because hes a friend, they are wonderful. You may have noticed the rest of the figure is pretty good too. The helmet which is so much of the figure is outstanding and I was amazed he managed it so well in Acrylics

Absolut great painting and I am glad to get an idea how to paint that bust. As Pete mentioned it looks like an old "Fort Royal"-Bust. Some pics of that bust, which is laying in my grey army, attached. The base, which you can see on the boxart, is part of the old kit

BTW. @ Pete. It is "your" old bust
