A Fixture
This is my 5th and last Viking bust (unless someone pays me to do one 
) . As you would expect from Young there's nothing wrong with the piece it's just time for me to move on.
The little bit of risk I took with this one was blood splatter. Simply a soft brush loaded with heavily diluted madder brown swiped across the bust from about 20cm. This to me looks pretty much like blood that's just started to dry, not too red and not too brown.
As usual I've gone for my preferred 'campaign' look with the shield decoration being well worn. Similarly the cape was washed out and although it doesn't show well on the photos the cape was painted then shaded and highlighted with hundred of little dots of colour.
All in oils and all metals mixed from Dark Stars Molten Metals range.
