What makes you think they're recast ? I've not seen these figures before myself and white metal is an odd choice at those prices for recasting wouldn't say there was a lot of profit in it

Hi Pedro,

Not to critisize, as I know you mean well, but maybe it's best not to post links to recasters as there may (let me stress MAY) be people interested. I know one other forum where they consider buying originals 'stupid' so there are people actually knowingly buying recasts.
When coming across a suspected recaster, I suggest we send an email to the manufacturors being ripped off. They are the only ones that can take action anyway.

Pretty lowlife, this recasting.

Cheers,
Adrian

Maybe this should be moved to the subforum on reporting piracy:

Is this guy from Russia? I see a lot of metal castings on eBay, from sellers located in Russia, and that are pirated from resin figures like Andrea, Pegaso, etc.

Amen, Adrian. That's always my response, too, because the discussion usually turns to what to do about the pirates. We can educate ourselves to identify pirated copies, and choose not to buy them, but ultimately, in nearly every case, it's the original manufacturer who has any standing to do anything.

It occurs to me, though, that turnabout is fair play, as far as Andrea is concerned, given how much they produce without licensing, like the figure of Spock from "Wrath of Khan" sold as "Space Officer" to avoid having to pay fees.

Prost!

Is from Ukraine and this topic was post to in the right section, unfortunately in here have more viewers and feedback.
Manufacturers should pay attention to this type of fraud...

Pedro.

Definately look like re re-castes to me. I own a few of of the real Andrea and Pegaso pieces that have been copied here and the original castes are much crisper than these.

well you get what you pay for, I will buy some of these as I think the prices are ok. perfect for practising painting .

Like all hobbies they are expensive !!! if you buy recasts you destroy the source eventually ,like weakening the blood line all you will have left is duelling banjos

yes your correct, I wont buy recasts.and as I said earlier, you only get what you pay for and want to do the best I can as a modeller, so it only makes sense to buy the best quality figures I can get. I apologise for my earlier comment, to all manufacturers and modellers./badger

They are definitely recasts. And rubbish recasts at that.
