The reason I don't do SBS is the fact my photography is dire.
That, and I don't think I have anything to teach.
Must come from me not having an trained eye,;)
Carl.(y)
My trouble is I've got one expertly trained eye but the other mongrel's a complete waste of an eye socket apparently.
Suppose I should've taken up something like 'line dancing' instead......not too late I guess!

Having posted a recent SBS and, having it suggested it would be a good idea to have a section dedicated to such things I fully support your idea Colin. I did contact Gordy to inform him that I had revised the content and taken out all the comments in order to leave a straight forward step by step layout. He did say he was working on something at the time, but have not heard anymore yet.
I think these things need to be in a section of their own, because the pages on V-Bench, Painting and Sculpting are being updated constantly, which means that such pieces are soon on back pages and tend to get forgotten.
Only person I know of that seems to keep track of all these things, and credit to him, is Carl. He always comes up with an answer or link.

Ron

Hi Colin,
Having posted W.I.P. pictures myself, I like nothing more when people give me advice and draw on the pictures if need be, pointing out areas for improvement. Even when I've needed to start all over again it just makes me more determined. If someone can pick up a tip from me then I feel honoured to have shared that tip, link or picture and put something back in for all the advice I have taken out. I will endeavour to try and support your idea, but like Carl my photography is poor at best.

And talking about Carl.............Mr Barton that must be the biggest understatement I've seen in my 2 years of model making........."I don't think I have anything to teach" I have learn't so much from you just in informal chats at shows, without what you contribute on here. Ron hit the nail on the head you always come up with the answer.

I also side with Tony's comments - it's the "students" on here and not the so called "master's" who contribute the majority of advice, tips and pointers, long may this modelling Band of Brothers support each other.

If you take Ron's SBS for example, he done it his way, but taught so many people and gave so many useful tips for modellers to go and try it for themselves and this was even taken up with great enthusiasm from many a seasoned painter too. How many of you own a set of blusher brushes now! I know I do.;)(y):)

Just my 2 banana's worth.
cheers
Richie
