Hi Steve , I think I would tackle these in acrylics , stay with bright colours and stay with one shadow colour and one highlight colour per colour . What I'm trying to say don't have to many transitions colours for each colour , keep it simple and clean .

These are the Soldiers Gemina Comics series which came out quite a while ago. I have a Napoleon and a Knight which I am currently working on. They seem to be fairly difficult to get hold of even though there were over forty different kits made.
