Hello friends

Below photo is a part of Young miniatures' 70mm Roman Imaginifer

I can't find any info about the red circled part....

If someone knows about that, Please give me some info

That leather strips were part of the belts (Cingulum militare) as you can see on the photo below

Because you can see the photos only if you are member of our forum I published them here too

First a photo from a tombstone, where you can see that parts.

The third one is a drawing depends on that stone and the second one is a photo out of an osprey magazine

When I understand the meanings in our forum correct it is not clear if that "fringes" are the end of the chain mail or the end of undergarment or upper garment. Because you can see on the tombstone the same parts at the arms. So it could be that this is the chain mail and he is wearing a garment over the chain mail

But if they are part of the garment you can paint it red or in another natural colour tone
