Hi everyone

As promised some completed pics of who I called "Bruce" ...a Anzac Kangeroo ....a fun piece to work on and made a good change from really detailed work with medals

You can see the WIP here:https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/anzac-roo.121593/

I added the arm badges ...no whiskers on him ...yet !!! waiting for a supply!!!!

There is a badge that was painted on the side of the base

Base from Pte's Bases which I chose as its rugged ..like the ground these heroes fought at in Gallipoli

Plate from Nameit

Painted in Acrylics

Click on pictures for larger images if you wish

As always all comments are welcome

Thanks for looking

Happy benchtime

Finally the other fun piece from 1879 ..."Pip" the terrier and Bruce the "Anzac Roo"

Turned out really well K. (y)
I like the pair of them together; they make a change from what's normally seen and I imagine they will be a popular display when we get back around to doing such things as shows again . . . .

Love Bruce and Pip, I would go as far as to say these are my favourite figures ever. Beautifully painted and presented so I agree with Paul, these are going to be crowd pleasers at the shows

Very nice work on this one Kevin.
Both busts are guaranteed a second look , and no doubt an appreciative smile, once we get back to having shows again.

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Nap,
Very well done on both, they make me smile every time I see them. Your painting has brought out the best in Dimitry's wonderful expressive sculpting.
cheers

Hi Nap,
Here is the chimp....I cannot post this without thanking a few of my wonderful friends who made this possible.

Dimitry sculpted this as a present for me before he emigrated to Australia, I was beaming when I first saw him and I had a good laugh too. Steve Readdie for providing the Martini Henry, making the moulds and casting him. Chippy for the lovely drift wood base, Del for the great antiqued label and last but not least Ron a.k.a. "kagemusha" for his outstanding paint job. To a man all top, top guys who I am proud to have as dear friends.
cheers
Richie
