Hi Everyone,

Wanted to let you know that APG renewal and new memberships
are now being taken.
I have mailed out renewal notices to existing members and wanted
to post to those of you who are not members yet that now is the
time to get that membership in.

Thank you to those of you that renewed and joined in Chicago.

You can download the form off the APG website and mail
it to me with your check or you can use PayPal off the site.

Membership is $25.00 Individual
$100.00 Club
$15.00 Junior

I am going to paste in a letter that Mike sent out that tells
you about where your membership contribution goes and
what the APG is working on.

I hope you will consider renewing and for those of you not a
member yet.. I hope you will join.

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!

In a day or two you'll be receiving your membership renewal letter from Dee Moore. I hope that we can count on all of you to renew this year. Your donation will help us better plan for future projects. BTW The annual dues money goes towards our projects and small admin expenses. The shows we have done and plan to do were and will be self sufficient. I would also encourage you to do a bit of recruiting for us. As an incentive, the member bringing in the most new members at the end of the drive will receive a gift. Make sure that your referral writes your name in on the membership form so you'll get credit. I haven't decided what it will be because not all the items I've requested have come in yet. I'll announce it soon. We'll also have a drawing at the end of the drive for several other prizes. To be eligible you must have renewed or signed up as a new member during the drive.

Last month I became aware of a project that I thought was something we wanted to get involved in. Rather than go into all the details I'm attaching a link to the article for you to read. http://blog.al.com/sweethome/2011/12...t_cemeter.html Last week the APG committed to aid the cemetery in building a memorial. So far our participation has been to help secure the donation of a large piece of Alabama stone for the memorial. We have several contacts in Alabama and they are in the process of soliciting quarries in the state for a donation of a 4x4x2 piece of white marble. Once we get the stone (and I'm confident we will) it will be delivered to a stone mason in Central Virginia to have two spots prepared to accept plaques. One plaque will identify the location, the other will list the names of the men known to be buried there. The folks in Prince William County are funding the mason work and plaques. If we can aid in getting this work donated we will be get involved there as well. A few members have offered monetary donations. We will forward any money collected to a fund for the perpetual care of the site. If you would like to donate send a check to the APG 2221 Hunters Rd SW Roanoke, VA 24015. Or, you can donate via Paypal by sending your donation to [email protected]. Make sure you note that the donation is for the 10th Alabama Cemetery. All donations are tax deductible. To learn more about Bristoe Station you can go to http://www.pwhpf.org/ Thanks to the Civil War Trust the land here was preserved. Had they not stepped in years ago this cemetery and a Mississippi cemetery would have been bulldozed and lost forever.

I've updated the site with a link to the Vendors contract for this years show. The link is on the 2012 show page. I'll add more as it becomes available.

We still have a couple seats open for the Doug Cohen workshop. It's first come, first served, so email me ASAP if you would like to participate.

Thanks again for all you support. I hope we can get everyone back on board again this year.

Regards,

Mike

I think we might have left out that the current membership drive will run until the end of Feb. That's not to say you can't join or renew after that.:) Feb 29 will be the date we will draw prizes and award the person with the most new joins.

Tony.. that's great.. thanks.

This is really great.. the renewals and new memberships
are starting to roll in.

Thank you so much.

It takes a bit of work to get all this in order and mailed out
and keeping up with thing.
So I really appreciate so far the response we are getting.
Besides keeping a 9-5 job.. and involved in my local club
here in Atlanta, it's a lot.
So it's nice to see everyone responding.

Thank you again

You are welcome Dee! This a great organization, and It's mission is a very noble one, and at $25, you can't complain. Thanks for all the work you and Mike put in to "The Cause".

Just an update..

Membership is coming in every day... THANK YOU EVERYONE.

My goal is to get all existing members to renew and then try to encourage
some that have 'fallen' off the list to renew again.
I have a few that we have missed 'seeing' in the last year or so,
It's good to see your names and renewals sent in.
Thank you for re-joining us.

Remember the drive is till end of Feb. So you can renew at the
Atlanta show if you like. If not ATL then MFCA, APG show or
Chicago.

Thanks again everyone.
Dee

Thank you again for all the renewals.
My goal is so far, 50% done.

So just a reminder to get those membership forms
back to me and for anyone wanting to join, email me
or PM me or go to the APG webite and download
the form or use PayPal.

Thanks again
Dee

Renew in ATL...

Just a reminder that the Atlanta show is coming up.
APG will have a table next to the Michael Roberts Ltd table.
Stop by to renew or become a member of the APG.

The membership drive ends this month and then we will have
the drawing.

You can still renew and become a member at any of the other
shows this year, MFCA, APG Show, Chicago.
I don't believe APG will at the new Texas show or Tulsa.
Sorry.

The response has still been very good on renewals and new members.
THANK YOU.... I may hit my goal of 100% by the end of this month.

Hope to see you in Atlanta
Dee

Thank you to those of you that renewed in Atlanta.

Just a reminder to get your renewals into me please, or use
PayPal if it is easier for you.

The membership drive drawing will end Feb. 29th.
This does not mean you cannot renew at any other show
or mail it in after that date. After the 29th, your name will just
not be in the drawing. We have some pretty nice prizes.

To acknowledge your membership I do send out membership
cards. IF you have renewed and have not received your card,
please let us know.

Thank you

Dee

Hi Everyone,

We had a good response for renewals.
Thank you for those of you who renewed AND most of you
renewed in time for the drawing.

I have a few more that I have not heard from and just want to
send this reminder out.
You can renew at any show, please just don't forget to.

When we receive your renewal or new membership... we will
acknowledge it with a membership card. IF you have renewed
and did not receive a card.. please let me know.

The drawing will be done shortly and posted.

Thank you to the folks that donated such great prizes.

Dee
