I had one of these. They were nicely done. I don't remember the sculptor, but I believe he was Spanish, and there's a clue in the name. It seems like it's someone that is currently working for Andrea, or Pegaso or somesuch. Ospey's book on modelling figures may give the name of the guy. I'm at work and can't look in my copy, but maybe somebody else has access.
 
yeah, after Ara the line folded Verlinden bought a few of his 1/35 masters, that's why i ask becuase they were exquisite figures, the faces were abit bland but his inorganic work was/is immaculate...
 
I recall the Ara line of miniatures from the late 80's, early 90's. I painted a 54mm Civil War drummer which was pretty good. Also had a French Infantryman from Napoleonic Era that was very good, but sold it on flea market table. It was a very nice piece of work.

Is that the same as ARA Miniatures?

In that case they were being sold at Euro Militaire this very year. Ive bought the russian commisar with the Nagan and greatcoat.
Quite good. I did get the impression that they were being reissued but Im not sure.
