Thanks mate. After 30 years of figure modelling, and having a digital camera for only two days I'm just getting started. I should set up a blog page. Do you how I do it?

Tony,

This is very nice.... wow you have been at this for a long time.
No wonder you could point me in the right direction for a Special
Forces figures.

I like this figure you have done.. Great colors.

Tony,

Looks great! I love everything about it... looks just like him to me, and I know it isn't just the sculpting! Great finish bro!

Thanks James

As you can probably tell I'm a massive fan of the Lord of the Rings (the books and the movies). In fact I started figure modelling and first read LOTR in 1977, which is 30 years ago.
It makes sense to me that my first 54mm metal figure should be of my hero Aragorn. Thanks for your kind words about my painting, but honestly with a figure this well scuplted and so life-like to the character of Aragorn, it's hard to go wrong.
I've started work on the Legolas (Elf Archer) figure by Andrea, which also looks very realistic and hope to start painting him soon. I wish Andrea would complete the series by doing 54mm versions of the other members of the Fellowship.

Cheers Rocco

My Leonides bust arrived in the post today, so I'm torn between getting stuck into him or contining with Legolas. Decisions, decisions....

Thanks to all Planeteers for their support and encouragement.

Hi Tony,

Having the priveldge of seen this figure in the 'flesh' at our club - your photos although good still do not do the figure justice.

As I said to you at the meeting you have achieved the darker and more realsitic colours on this figure really well. You have also managed to chose the colours correctly for the figure and it does not look toy like but like he stepped out of the LOTR movie. Well done on this one mate

Ciao for now
Franco
