Hi, all!

Is anyone else familiar with a French figure maker doing business as "Art Miniature"? Their website was www.artminiature.com, but it now appears to be dead. It was always a kludgy website; the popups never quite worked correctly.

They made 54mm figures depicting French subjects, naturally, Seven Years War and Napoleonic, both military and civilian, available painted or as kits. They also had some vignettes, include 2 civilian sets, "Le Chocolat", depicting a pair of ladies having hot chocolate, and "Le Visite", depicting a pair of gentleman socializing. Those sets included some furniture pieces, and a servant or two. Quality of the sculpting was on par with Andrea, I'd say.

I'd like to know if they are still in business in some other form or under some other name, or if they're gone for good.

Thanks in advance for any info anyone has about them, prosit!
Brad

Hey Baron,

Thought I'd return the favour for the tips on 18th century kits you gave me. Art Miniature is still in business, their website address did change though to:

http://www.figurine-miniature.com/

Took a long time to find them. The company remains the same; some of the kits are retired by the look of it but still there and you can buy kits right from the site. They are located in Madagascar of all places. I really have to get into the toy business! LOL Nice living to be made and great locations to do it.

Cheers,

Holy cow! Did I post this question twice? I see that this thread is from 2011; I had forgotten that I asked back then.
The http://www.figurine-miniature.com/ URL no longer works, in any case. It returns "site can't be found" and the error, "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN".
That's what made me ask again if anyone knew anything about them, and if they're now out of business.
Prost!
