Hey Guys,
I have made a complete 2-part article on how to use and manipulate pigments for the Michigan Toy Soldier Blog.
Seeing that most people only use 1% oof pigment capacity, which is just a "dusting" effect on models, VMS makes a whole range of chemicals and binders that let's you handle pigment as any medium, like pure paint, textures, streaks, grime, washes, filters, mud, and so on.
VMS is the only player in the market that has these solutions to manipulate pigments, and they are superb to work with.
On the first part of the article I show you all their range of pigment and textures, a single pigment color can have up to 9 options alone, which means color rendering control and texture options (zero, fine and coarse). It's a very complete platform to work with, and I use pigments as my primary weathering tool for years now, thanks to VMS. All my figures are weathered using pigments, as you can see on many examples I showed in the first part of the article.

On the second part I show you guys how to manipulate the pigments and use them as streaking, filters, textured mud, textured rust, subtle rust, dusting and so on. Please remember also that pastel chalks are NOT pigments. And we can reverse the process at any time if needed.
Here is the link for the second part of the article :

Let me know your thoughts and any questions !
Best regards
Julian
