Thanks for the post, Kreston. Looking forward to participating again this year! Gotta figure out what to do........

Thank for the posting Kreston. For those unfamiliar with this years project let me add just a bit of info.

Kreston is the point man on this being very knowledgable on the subject and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum as well as an excellent rapport with the staff there. He's done some great work getting this thing going and has arranged to have the articles we are sponsoring at the MMSI Show in Oct along with Bill Brewster who I believe is the Curator at the WVM.

Many of the artists who participated last year are returning as well as a few new ones. Bob Knee just informed me today that his rendition of the Michael Roberts Ltd 6th Wisconsin figure (sculpted and produced by yours truly) is finished and I should have photos next week. Mark Mindemen and Doug Cohen are also on board. Mark has a 54 Pegaso fifer for us. Not sure what Doug will do but can't wait to find out. Greg DiFranco and Keith Rocco have agreed to do some original flat art for us. Greg will do one of his superb caricatures and Keith a 9x12 original painting. Gary Dombrowski has also offered us a piece of his artwork. You can see his posting about it here on PF. Pete Culos is also doing another painting this time of a Civil War soldier. We have an original 75mm sculpture by Steve Lennon of a CS Standard Bearer donated by Kreston that will be painted by Mike Hall. Oh ya. I am almost finished with a 54mm 2nd Wisconsin figure that will be sold as a limited edition of 50 pieces. One of the pieces will be painted by Kreston and sold through the auction. Kits will be ready sometime in Sept and can be purchased directly through MR Ltd. Sorry dealers no discounts. All profits will go to the Fairchild Project Fund.

Hope I didn't leave anyone or thing out.

All and all things are shaping up nicely. We'll keep you informed.

Thanks,

Mike Stelzel

How about a bust of Fairchild? How about one of that famous Wisconsin soldier Eugenious Maurice Peckham?
