Hi Everyone,

in Atlanta.
Thanks... Dee
Hi Folks,
The .2011 Version of the Atlanta Model Figure Show is just around the corner! By the time I get this typed and posted we will be just under 5 weeks until the "bounce"...(that means "the start" for those not familiar with Australian Football terms) The Show Committe had it's final meeting yesterday and all details finalized (if possible)...
First of all, for all you “last minute folks” out there.. It’s time to make those reservations!! The cut-off date for the special show rate of $89/night is fast approaching and the reserved room block is rapidly disappearing. Don’t delay a second longer, make those reservations now and ensure the best price for staying in the event hotel….
This years Show boasts of two really superb seminars… First, as most of you are aware….”Sculpting Historical Miniatures” by Anders Heintz….. besides the actual seminar… each attendee will receive (at no cost) the 4+ hour DVD produced by Anders, and also a “starter kit” including cast torso, wire etc…. all geared to get you started towards sculpting that “one of a kind” that has always been in the back of your mind..
The second seminar will feature a “panel discussion” on various aspects of the hobby. The event will be moderated by Atlanta Grand Master Jon Harbuck and the panel will consist of current Atlanta Grand Masters and top painters in the hobby. Questions to be handled by this group will be drawn from those presented by attendees. To function smoothly and efficiently, the questions will be submitted prior to the seminar, in written form and placed in a container in the registration area. There will be a supply of cards and writing sticks to ensure that each attendee will have an opportunity to submit questions…
My index fingers are getting tired so will take a break now… Keep an eye out , as we will be posting other info regarding the 2011 Show.
Thanks for your support.
