Looking very good. I am struggling with 7 figures, so how you sustain interest in this many is impressive

Thank you kindly, I try to work on a small group of Six at a time but vary these - sometimes the KGL then back to the French - kind of breaks up sequence of painting the same - also I try to make each one slightly different.

Evening all, right I now have Eight 1st Regiment Tirailleurs made apart from their back pack sections that will be painted separately before being fitted.

Hi there W

Nice looking figures ...are these Perry ? .....interesting these come with separate backpacks !

Do you temporary base the figures up in a line and work your way along ?

Look forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Yes indeed they are Perry's - my work process is to work on a batch of Six-Eight at a time after priming I would do all the same colour first, then move to the next colour and so forth.

Yes indeed, it was the Second attempt at a case as the first time a glass case arrived in a wooden case and the glass had smashed, so I decided to change tack and go with a perspex acrylic case, I had it purpose made to my own specifications.

Thank you kindly, they are Vallejo from their boxed Waterloo paint set - I tweaked the Dark Prussian Blue as it wasn't dark enough - so I added some Black to it, and the Red I made it a little bit less vibrant.

Evening all, some more progress with my Tirailleurs - I pained and detailed their muskets then the hands with a wash and highlighting, then I painted on a few gaiters and gave the bottoms around the ankles a dirty wash to simulate the muddy conditions due to the rain during the previous night - the figures themselves are nearly finished just need to paint the cocades and buttons - then work on their rear sections containing the haversacks / ammo boxes and sabres.
