Greetings,
After being inspired from attending the Brisbane QMHE a start is being made on an Aussie in Korea. Thanks to Alan for his help in researching through material for this topic.
I had a great time in Brissy meeting Phil,Alan ,Ian ,Jim,Blair,Boots and Jim.
Anyway this is the basic figure of a Digger in Korea,There will be a choice of weapons being an Enfield 303 and an Owen smg.I might yet change the left hand will see how it goes.comments welcome.

Mate that was quick , looking good so far , As Korea is a forgotten war here in Australia well done for honouring the servicemen who fought and died at places like Kapyong , Maryang-san etc
Cheers
Al

Bloody hell mate, you dont mess around, looking great, love the way this is posed, cant wait to see this one done. Great catching up in Brissie as well.

Cheers Andrew Judson

Hello All,
The figure progresses. The trousers have been done ,now with a start on the M1951 Jacket.Keeping the folds crisp and showing the movement or pose of the figure is important here which Taesung and Kristian do so well.Negative space where folds evolve into each other is the crux of the matter here, basically harmony.I could go on ;-).Its a continual learning process, comments welcome.

Hello All,
The ammo pouches and sleeves have been added. The pouches were made from one master pouch ,then making a "stamp" pressed out the rest of the poches in situ. The ljacket on the left hip needs to be built out a little morec.omments welcome.

Hi Andy, Top stuff, really enjoying the project, well done.

Nice work!
Andy it was nice to meet you at the show and buy a couple of figures of you in person. Never bought directly off a sculptor before it was a good feeling.

Wish you all the best
Ryally

Gidday,
Work on the front of the jacket is shaped in.The slouchie added. The hands were also remodelled to hold a box of matches. The main effect is to show dexterity with the hands holding the matchbox. There will be a ciggy drooping from his mouth as the finishing touch.comments welcome.
