Here is the completed work. I'm very pleased with it. I used Vallejo's Still Water for the swamp. After some apprehension and a few trials I really like the stuff. I put off adding the water until I just had to, because I knew I only had one shot if I was going to be done for Chicago. I finally decided to just do it. I think it's also noteworthy to say that the figure was stripped because I didn't like the paintjob of the face. I'm pleased that I did it over.

John,
fantastic stuff! Love the lily pads, a nice touch. The figure is painted very nicely. A virtual "shrimp on your barby" for this one!

Hi John,

great idea and great realisation. Congratulation.

Only one negative point (in my point of view). The left hand would be better turned upside down. It's quite impossible to stretch the hand the way you did it.

John, The figure looks really nice. Can you expand a bit about the application of the Vallejo water product? did you have to tint it? Or did you just paint the base the colors you wanted for the water? Thanks.~Gary

Hey John,

Really nice work, I think your best work so far. I have to pick up some of the Vallejo water and give it a try. Good luck in Chicago.
