I have now completed this superb offering from Avanpost studios, all painted in acrylics and an oil wash on the musket.
I have tried to find out a bit more about this Regiment and found that they served in Spain.
During 1813 they fought at the siege and Battle of Tarragona in Spain.

Great job on this Bob. Love the fabric effects on the trousers. It’s a super pose, simple and effective.

Jim,
many thanks appreciate the kind words.

Neal,
appreciate the comments and as an aside, I found these to be excellent sculpts and will likely do some more.

Mobo,
many thanks my friend.

Nap,
yes, these are good and growing range. I will have to get to the postman before the Mrs.

Tom,
I missed out on the light infantry Sgt, so will have to wait. Look forward to seeing yours.
Thanks again to you all.

I really like this one. My late father loved the full dress uniforms. But I was always drawn to the 'petie tenue' because that is what these men generally fought and died in. When you read First Empire memoirs, they could be a motley group. Are any of you out there from the States in your 60's or older? You may then be familiar with my father's articles in the late Bob Bard's 'Milihistriot' publication. My father was 'Talisman' the author of the 'Days of the Empire' series. Ah, but I am dating myself........

Thank you Jaybo,
Like you, I prefer the look of the soldier on campaign, although I have painted quite a few Metal Model figures.
I have just got into Napoleonics in the past 4 years, prior to that it was late Victorian.
Regards
