Just wanted to share some photos of my last project. It's a clay sculpt with braided hemp twine hair and real feathers. Hope you like it!

Commments welcome!

Thanks for all the kind words! She was painted in Vallejo acrylics and oils. It is in 1/6th scale. I just really enjoyed her character and selfishly wanted one for myself...so I made her! :)

I LOVE IT !!!

You are a really gifted sculptor and painter !!!

I´m speechless.....

I loved the film and I hope this bust will be commerialy available. A must have for me !!!

Lovely work, Trevor. I enjoyed seeing this one at MFCA last weekend. It's even more impressive in reality than it is in these pics, as hard as that is to believe. It was definately on my short list for B.O.S.

I asked John R about this piece and he said it was done in chevant. Is that correct? I was curious if you've ever used super sculpey and how you'd compare it to chevant in terms of workability, detailing, smoothing, etc.

Thanks for posting.

My guess is a mold was taken from the Chevant clay as it does not cure/harden to be permanent as far as I know. ~Gary

I had the pleasure of seeing this at MFCA this past weekend. As good as the pics are, they do not do justice to this figure. As you move past this figure on the table, you could swear the eyes are tracking you!

Trevor Hensley, the artist, works for the company that provided much of the CGI for James Cameron's movie.

This is truly an outstanding example of our artform.

The figure WAS, and presumably still IS, tremendous - that part I got right!!
