AVON Show 2021 on 8 August 21 good news! 30th show who will go?

Sunday 8th August at Thornbury Leisure Centre , UK BS 35 3JB.

Short notice but any SHOW proposed deserves support at this time.

I will be there with Jimbo Evans , Daddy0 and others from BRISTOL BMSS

It's a massive decision and all credit to Andy and the Avon Club

They are keeping it simple ...no comp

Hope to see others there ..it will be good to interact albeit masked up and hand gel at the ready

IPMS Avon and Lincombe Barn Wargames Society have decided that despite the continued uncertainty around indoor events being able to take place that we will in anticipation of the restrictions being lifted on 19th July, go ahead and run our combined modelling & Wargaming show on Sunday August 8th 2021.

It will be a big challenge for us in a very short space of time to organise everything, but it is possible. Below is a list to assist us in organising the show and to let you know the planned format.

Be as quick as possible in returning your booking forms
Please inform us even if you will not come to display / trade
Please inform us if you have to cancel attending
Traders, pre-payment is still required to secure your booking
Trade table price is frozen at 2019 prices
No make and take for children
No competition
There will be awards for best model club display and best demonstration, participation game
Cashless payment on the door
Possibility of cancellation depending on on-going or future government restrictions
Full refund to traders if the show can’t take place because of government restrictions
Any persons not feeling well should not attend the show.
I hope we are fortunate in being able to run the show and I look forward to welcoming you all to a long awaited show on Sunday 8th August.

For those who managed to get to the Avon Show, I'm sure you will agree it was great to be able to get back into the show groove again. Full marks and many thanks to Andy and his team for an excellent day. It was also good to meet up with some Planeteers and put faces to names, and clock some really nice work on display.

Shame I had to miss this, I was going to attend but I have to isolate before an operation shortly. Also missing the show this weekend in Stafford. You wait months for the shows to start again then life gets in the way.

As for the Avon show it was a very enjoyable show , really good to meet PF members .....I behaved and didn't buy anything unlike others ...eh Daddy0 and Jimbo

The show itself was well organised with lots of happy faces and even more great models on the displays
