September's release by Young Miniatures is a 1/10th scale resin Aztec Warrior cast in 12 resin parts plus a copper wire.

Aztec 04.JPG

Packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with a clear plastic sleeve around the box to keep it closed the parts are sandwiched between layers of foam. Young created a hollow portion in the packaging to pack the resin feathers in a clear plastic zip-lok bag to ensure they would not break by pressure from the foam packaging.

After cleaning off the casting block from underneath the head the head was placed into the cavity as shown above.

Conclusion:
Another excellent kit by the super talented hands of Young B. Song. Engineering of the parts to dry-fit tightly is flawless. Minimal casting blocks to be removed. Highly recommended. A beautiful kit!!!

Nice review. I like the bust, but to me, the boxart version looks like the helmet is a tad too bright a shade of white. I think a more earthy white would be less distracting from the rest of the piece.

Btw, I did it for this sculpt one last time, but I'm getting tired of being asked to model for the pecs and torsos on these busts. I know I'm ripped, but enough with the modelling requests, please. ;-)))))

Gee Matt I thought that was you in the wooden helmet!

I also like this piece but am certain that there will be some required conversion work necessary to make it fully accurate. I will have to cover all your muscles in padded clothing to fix it, so sorry in advance!

Thanks for the review Guy, another fantastic release and one to add to the collection for sure.

Cheers
Tommi
