Hello, Everyone!

I would like to build an ambitious vignette using the Roll Call 11th Hussars and 17th Lancers.
Could anyone tell me if there is in the market a suitable "Russian" cannon and any Russian Gunner, infantrymen or cavalrymen?

By the way, any British Cavalrymen available for sale would be also welcome! I just own two figures, for the time being, though I have a lot of recent figures valid for conversion.

Thanks and kind regards,

Iñaki

sorry, my mistake, it's a baklava not balaklava
;)

Disappointed... every time I am warned about a reply, I immediately check if a "survivor" appears :grumpy:
I would take the Baklava, however!
I see many British sources use a "c" instead of a "k". Nice topic...

Hi Inaki.
Mantua models do a French Napoleonic 12 pounder in 1/17 scale which, with some tweaks, may suit you Also Victory Miniatures do a mounted 11th Hussar in the act of sabreing the gun crew though I can't vouch for the quality as I don't have it.
I'm interested to see what you come up with, especially the gunners.

Thank you, Jon!!
Normally, Victory models are quite OK, though I once had an issue when securing with steel rods the horse legs. Casting is not Poste Militaire or Grieves, but not awful. Overall quality is fine and value for money is very high, one of the best probably.
No clue, however, about Mantua, but I'll find out.

I'm not sure what guns the Russians used, but Verlinden used to do a French Napoleonic cannon and Victory do (the old Verlinden) British 9lb. I'm sure Keith would let you have a cannon wheel instead of a gun for 'atmosphere'.
