I have just returned to the hobby after a few years break. Here is my take on scale 75's fearsome Japanese officer.
I wanted to get across the steamy jungle feel with dirt and sweat to break up the plain uniform.
Its a great miniature, very dynamic and quite unusual.

Nicely done and the groundwork is excellent.

How did you find the figure? I had a go at it, but mine was so poorly cast that I ended up abandoning it. A great disappointment after doing the Scale 75 Lt. Winters figure, which was sublime.

Hi Steve

Yes, the figure was a challange and fought every step of the way. In the end I used quite a bit of filler and Mr surfacer and painted in a style that helped to disguise the floors in the miniature. It was worth it in the end, but a lot more work than I expected.
