He's posted up some expensive items besides that one. He's taking a gamble using feeBay as he'll still be hit by hefty auction-posting fees even if he doesn't sell 'em, and could end up out of pocket.

I wish him well, but in these hard times it's not the sort of thing that too many folks will have spare cash to lavish on. Will watch the auction just to see if it sells.

Boy I'd love this just couldn't justify it even at what is a real bargain price.
As to the full cost for the model if you want to fight your own sea battles there's a really nice wee Westerly 22 bilge keel yacht for sale including a days sailing lessons at £2250 berthed in Loch Long .
