In the late 1970s to early 1980s, ie my youthful days I used to purchase Barton miniatures which were usually 90mm figures of high quality and excellent design. lately i have been going back and doing some of these figures over in modern paints and more historical coloring over what I could get then. I am curious however as to what became of that company and more specific the molds for the figures. They got to be out there somewhere and the line is rarely on Ebay. the internet reflects little about this companies demise. The last i heard when paying attention as something had happened and the molds were sold to someone in Hawaii that was to set up shop and never did. Anybody that was around then know what happened and who has the molds. Quite frankly I would like to find out and try to purchase them. I figure if anyone knows ,this is the place to ask as there seems to be some dated oldtimers(no insult intended) here in the forum whom may know the answer to the riddle.
Thank you in advance for any responses

Not sure about Barton but the story about 'someone' in Hawaii buying the molds is also true of the Series 77 line. Apparently this 'someone' is a black hole for molds.....once in never out again.

I tryed to locate Kitney & Company on the web and although they have a domain name their site is no longer up and running. I found another site that gave an e-mail address. I sent them an inquiry about Barton Molds and Miniatures. Just have to wait and see if I can get lucky and find what I am seeking.

The Hussar in Tulsa Oklahoma USA has a few Bartons in stock. (918) 492-3559.
The shop does occassionally post them for sale on e-bay, but they are available through normal retail transactions: BMC 5 Sandhurst cadet 1812, BMC 4 British First Dragoon Guards 1815, BMC 817, modern Irish Guards Piper, BMH 18 modern Queens Own Highlander piper. There is also a seated Landsknecht drummer without instructions, and also BMFAN 1, male fantasy warrior, also without instructions.-- Steve Scott

Hi folks ...

This is my first post so I will try to do it right. I just put a bunch of Barton miniatures out on eBay if anyone is interested. My eBay member ID is "proud-soldier". These are kits I accumulated over time but will never get around to finishing. Some have a rust colored primer which is the way I received them. There is a hobby shop

Last week, I was in St Louis for VLS' annual MasterCon. While there, I visited CRM Hobbies (Chris Merseal), and I noticed that they had a number of Barton kits for sale (from an estate purchase). Chris' contact info is (314) 832-4840 and [email protected].

Hope this is of value.
