I'm considering painting the Peat Bog Trio from Blacksmith but think it needs to be mounted on something other than the typical square/round wood plinth to reenforce the fantasy theme. It's a small vignette, 1:32 scale.

Does anyone have a source for bases for fantasy figures? Prefer it to be from the US because of shipping costs but will consider going offshore for the right base. Thanks for your help, guys.

If this is for showing I would make up something that looks like this:

Then print a cover with your choice of title for the piece and "authors" name. Cover colour to contrast with the Goblins.
May as well play up the whimsy. They are wonderful figures, I love painting in the Fantasy genre, albeit in gaming scale only.

Hi Rick

Nice idea to get the right base sorted first

There's a couple in UK .....Oakwood Bases run by Richard Wharton and Petes Bases by Pete Watson .....both will do specific Bases to your requirement

But presume you prefer a US source ....I've not used him but "Bases by Bill" comes to mind

Hi Rick,
It depends on how you want to set it off. It could be on a simple cobble street may be with a street lamp, set on a bridge or set in a bar ect. I would scratch build my own base to set these off and mount it on a nice wooden base.
cheers
Richie
