This stuff is not yet polished

Yew should do well with these Ron.
Are there any drawbacks with it?
What did you cut them with, a bow saw?
Very nice,
Carl.(y)
I'm quivering with laughter.......you're just stringing us along.
Nice bases from Ron should have targetted customers knocking on his door for them.:)

I think I love yew even more after seeing these pieces Ron. And I love it a bit rough too.

Ron, how does your Yew compare to your Burr Elm with regards cutting and sawing and does it take a polish well.

It takes an excellent finish Don but seems to be prone to developing shakes "splits" Don't know why this is happening but suspect
the wood has not been seasoned properly so will have to change supplier on this stuff.

Thanks Ron, Good to know it polishes well but didnt know about the splits.
I dont suppose light carving or drilling would cause this?
Looks very nice, will talk to you about some.
