Thanks again mate. I have realised that the problem with sculpting projects is that you need to put them to one side to dry and I need something to keep me busy in that time.

I know what you mean, sculpy firm or beeswax putty are both heat cured, so less time waiting for it to harden.

I might have to give them a try.

I finished the base today. I still need to get some oils on the figures, they look weirdly vivid against the background, I’ll have to think about how to deal with that so suggestions welcome. A coat of Matt varnish might help.

They look really good mate, very dilute oil washes should help with the brightness, similar to weathering on an AFV etc, just build it up.in stages.

Cheers Simon

Very good mate, apart from slings, which I probably wouldn't have spotted, I can't see any room for improvement. A really great piece, love it.

They look really good to me. My finishing touch would be some dust on the boots, possibly also the knees and elbows, to unify them with the groundwork a bit more. Maybe you have some already, I think you could push it a bit. Lovely vignette though.

I agree with Nigel, dust em a bit to blend with the base, but otherwise close scrutiny only says to me, excellent! The clash of contrast betwixt the figs and building is gonna be there naturally, and if you've given them a good dull coat, Ruck On.

Excellent work from print to finish, Stefan!

Agree there ....more weathering on both figures particularly the webbing ...looks very clean imo

Possibly a couple of bullet marks on the wall ?

Don’t forget the competitions , both classes and Vignette ones

Good V Bench as well

Happy benchtime

Hopefully I'll get a bit of time to work on this on the weekend and finish off the slings, I think you're right about a little dusting, maybe with pigments.
