following on from my last posting I managed to catch a few hours modelling time in between gardening duties today,i have started to modify 2 of the muskets, these were originaly French, but the Prussians also used the French charleville musket at waterloo,so some slight modification was required, straps and buckles etc still need to be added, this will come later in the project.
I also added a rolled garment to the rear of one of the busts using MS,i used wire doubled up and twisted to represent the chord sling.
Part of the Prussian infantrymans equipment was the axe, this deadly piece of equipment came in very useful on the difficult march from wavre to waterloo and also the house to house fighting encountered at plancenoit village,i added the axe which I made up from wooden dowel sanded to the appropriate thickness, the axe blade was sketched out on plasti-card and cut out and fixed accordingly.
The flag bearer carries one of the few types of Prussian flag during the hundred days, this IS NOT the flag i'll be using, this is just a print out to give me a feel for the piece during construction, the flag i'll be using I'm currently planning out.
