Was there a Bridge and if there was one, was it a nice Stone one as in some depictions or a well constructed wooden one as in others?
If there was one it was probably a bit "rough and ready"..so that´s what I´ve made.
The first brave (overconfident) brit advances to his doom
"Sneaky Pete" prepares his attack.
In some Versions he uses a bath tub, in some half a Barrel. Seeing as I couldn´t find a suitable bath tub and making one proved impossible, the Barrel (Renedra) was used.
The "Away Team"
The "Home Team"
From above. All the bods are either Zvezda or Emhar with a lot of conversion apart from the "jeering" woman (british side) whose from Valdemar
Here´s the Viking hero working his way through anyone who attempts to force him off the Bridge, Clip from 1066 - The Battle of Middle Earth..."stop pushing at the back!!!"
The creative process.....(more or less)

Insulating foam cut to shape. Glued with PVA and toothpicks used like nails to secure each layer firmly.
Modelling clay (normal sort of clay that can be bought from an arts and craft shop) added to form the river bed and fill any gaps.
Rough base painting with cheap acrylic wall paints.
Test shot to see if the river colour fits to the Chosen Background. It does near enough ..and anyway, the Bridge will help cover the cross over point.
A bit of scenery added and the bod and his Barrel placed to test eye lines. The bod is a converted Emhar Saxon Warrior.
Bridge construction - Coffee stirrers cut to shape (which was easy as a rough look is wanted)
Bridge finished..another test shot..yep, the Bridge does cover the gap between the painted riverbed and the pic.
Getting there. Barrel still Needs painting and a bit of tidying up here and there, but!!!!!!....
..in order to add all the bods some "wings" needed adding, and the backdrop needed widening. This was easy..all I did was mirror Image the original pic and use the outer thirds and add them to the original. (the river is visible to the far left and right on the backdrop)
Anyway..that´s basically it. The Barrel Boy needed painting, as did the Barrel, the viking hero and an Opponent needed de-basing so they could stand on the Bridge.. representatives for the armies added..then the pics.
