I did these two Young busts for a101st Abn. Div. Group in Oregon. The group has a couple of Band of Brothers in it. Don Malarkey (TV Series) and Bill Wingett(not in TV series) Don Malarkey signed the one base for me. The other one I did for John Sherman a Glider Infantryman. Put two stars on Don's Jump Wings. Glider wings for John's base. Acrylic paint over all. Patches from printed paper.
Picture on back is John Sherman in Austria at end of war.

"Put two stars on Don's Jump Wings."

Hey Nick,

Where did you find stars, that size? I'm looking to get stars that size for a bust of a General I'm doing, and can't find them anywhere. Love your work by the way. Regards,
Joel

Joel, I order from a company called "Medals of America". These are the small stars that go on the medal ribbons. You can order them 1 to 5 on a card or something like that. I used these on a bust of an Abn. Gen. of the 82nd Abn Div. I can't think of the name now. I'm 74, so that happens! LOL! I ordered the wings and stars from this place. www.MedalsofAmerica.com this should hook you up!

Nick

Thanks Mat! Don Malarkey and Bill Wingett are still with us and are in there 90s now. Tough old birds!
