Hello everyone.

I would show you another of my works. I painted this bust last year for the World Nations Trophy 08 contest. I used acrylic paints (Vallejo Model Air) and enamels (Humbrol). As usual in my works, I used airbrush and brush (in this case 50/50). I design the qipao´s pattern of lotus flowers. I was inspired in some paintings and watercolors by Chinese painters. I wanted it looks like a silk thread embroidery on silk fabric (I don´t know if you understand what I mean, sorry)

Hope you like it ;)

Kisses: Pepa.

Well, Derek!
I dont know how ya laddies hang around with each others and I may be a bit prudish or/and conservative, but here in my hood we lads dont throw away kisses like that. :D

Its not usually seen in the modelling world due to natural causes.
I often tend to say Im only in it for the chicks and money.

Cheers

Gentlemen,
don't make get a bucket of cold water out, calm those European passions of yours! (My word, these Scandinavians are full of life!!) :D:D:D

(Yes, Janne, she is one of the Ladies of the world; sigh, we get another lady on here, and her work is so far ahead of where I am at, I have a hard time remembering to put the bristle end of the brush to the figure:D;))

Pepa,
thanks for sharing more of your work!
I've attached pictures of silk embroidery, I think this is what you mean?
Yes, it does look like that, on my computer monitor anyway.

Did you use the airbrush to shade the folds of the cloth, and for the tones on the face? Well handled, however you did it.

Thanks for sharing

Cheers

WOW! Superb paint job, Pepa.

One can almost feel the silky texture of the roses in her hair. I also appreciate the fact that you took the time to do the proper research for authentic Chinese designs for the dress.

Thank you for your exquisite work on my 'baby'

Cheers,
Quang

Thanks a lot guys: Btavis, Anders heintz, Uruk-hai, Del, Sambaman, gothicgeek, Janus, Quang, Hikaru, Alexwencho. I am glad that you've liked it.

@ Janus: Yes, silk embroidery over silk fabric ;) . I will try to explain as best I can about painting. I paint with airbrush the base color, general highlights and shadows and then, I refining and apply a little more light and shadow points in the figure. When I think airbrush work is finished and I can´t refine more, I start to paint with brushes.

At first, the paint must have a milky consistency. With this dissolution I apply general lights and shadows. Then I dilute the paint a little more and I start to paint a little more light and shadow. After that, with very dilute paint(80-90% water and 20-10% paint) I start with tones (shades, overtones?) After all this, I started to paint with brush.

Yes, I used airbrush to shade folders and I applied tones too in qipao and face.

WOW! Superb paint job, Pepa.
