Hi there,

Can anyone help me with the painting of belts and straps, especially the wethering of leather ones, i normaly use oils but have acrylics to.

Hi

I've recently been experimenting with the new Scale75 Wood and Leather paint set on the belts and straps of 120mm figures. They are acrylics and perform very well. See their tutorial -

Which oils do you use ?... as I have learnt over the last few months there can be a huge difference in areas such as, drying times, coverage, pigments! etc! But also, the types of Acrylics that are used can also make a huge difference. However, what is your current method that you use to approach this area of painting!

Regards,

Mark

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, I've been on holiday why this late response.
I use acrylics for surface and Winsor and Newton and Rembrandt for oil paints.
I somethimes have problems with the shadows and light of straps on 54mm, sometimes it's perfect (for me at least) and other times it will not work.
Creating a project on the hold.
