Actually, Mussolini was taken off Gran Sasso in a Fiesler Storch. Strangely, there are kits of this a/c in 1/72 and 1/32, but not in 1/48.

And they flew in using DHC-230 which are availble from in 1/48 from Special Hobby. Its a very basic kit but can be enchanced with tenderloving care.

A very good kit of the Junkers Ju-52 was released not long ago by Promodeller, at least the airplane builders thought so.

it's rare but Esci made a FIESELER Fi.156C STORCH (kit No.#4019) in 1/48 - there's even an aftermarket correction kit !

they are hard to find though

Oh geez! I can't believe I forgot about that kit. Thanks Gordy. I've seen that thing many times, actually, in a local shop. And there's one availabe on E-Bay ,if it's wanted bad enough.
