Hey guys since this year is soon coming to an end, I think it would be a good a idea for us to name our favorite figures of 2005, based on your answers, I will do a poll.

Cheers and Merry Christmas

Here's my three favourites:

David Grieve's 150 mm Nelson, PiLiPiLi's 120mm Highlander, and Metal Modeles 54mm Old Guard grenadier in overcoat.

To me all the figures that Pegaso added to their 75 mm serie compete for the title of "best figure of 2005". And of course their new 90 mm Templar.

John, this is just to see our member's preferences for 2005, but what you say is food for thought.

After seeing PAbelo miniatures' English Civil Officer in the flesh, I too would have to make that my choice for 2005. ;)

Cheers

Hi Guys

Its the Latest 90mm Samurai from Pegaso, that does it for me, followed closely by their latest knight... just beautiful

Dave

If I see 'another' Templar I'll gag. One would think Templars were that interesting.
Just another group of self-righteous thugs that thought more of themselves than of others around them. This is not a condemnation of the various manufacturers. Pegaso's Templar is beautifully sculpted, well painted ( in the promos ) and carefully photographed.
My vote is for Quang's 90mm Crow. His devotion to accuracy is commendable and he definitely does not follow the 'crowd' ( which probably hurts him financially...it's a good thing he's independently wealthy, lives in a 19th century palace once owned by Bavaria's Mad King and sculpts figures only as a hobby- when he's not dabbling in international politics, composing grand opera and/or playing bass in a Punk band..... ) ;)

Best figure? I don't know as I am not discerning enough nor have I seen many figures in the 54mm+ category, however you did ask about favourite figures, now that I am objective enough to answer.

I was introduced to West Wind Production figures from their Dwarf Wars series (25-30mm) recently by a thread on one of the forums I frequent. I order three packs of "character" figures and was overwhelmed by the originality of poses, the heroic nature of the sculptures (an art of exaggeration abandoned by GW in recent times) and the perfection of the size of the minis; ideal for the painter who loves detail but does not want to use a microscope to find it with a brush.

Therefore my vote for favourite is West Wind's Dwarf Musician from the King's retinue and I suppose therefore it gets my vote for "Best" mini.

Hi All :) !
PiLiPiLi's "Crow" figure,Pegaso"s "Templar" and Pabelo's ECW figure would be my contenders for the title. Cheers and best wishes for the holiday season !
Kenneth  .

Well,

This is a difficult one. But i like Pegaso figures and the figures of Piipilli.
Therefore my vote goes for Pegaso Templar sergeant and there Renaissance Knight: From Elite French Line Infanterist. They all are 75mm.
From Pillipili i really like the Crow figure.
