You can make your own grass tufts, which is what I am going to attempt tomorrow following this method

Even made my own static grass applicator which cost me less then a tenner.
Maybe a bit goofy to most, but i'll attempt it anyways.

I been using Mini Natur. Here's a pic of the basework using 2 different types (summer, autumn)

JonG - thanks for posting the grass making tip. How did your attempts go?

Rompy - Very nice groundwork. Is the slightly leafy effect part of the grass or did you add that yourself?

The slightly leafy effect was part of the grass from Mini Natur :) Everything on the base you see is straight out from the pack :)

Tried it, and can report it works very well. Not going to stop using Mini Natur/Silflor stuff though, this does just give me more variety/options.
6mm Noch Wildgrass is the fave choice at the moment, but will go and try some 2-4mm static grass a little later.
I'll try and take some pics later and show you the results, so far though I am more then happy with how the tufts look.
Used an old roasting tray as it had a lip that I could clip the applicator to and some freezer bags cut up, as I didn't have any cling film.....very simple no mess way of doing tufts...and you can make a loads of em extremely quickly.
