Best of Show for Marijn van Gils

I want to tell you that Marijn van Gils has won the best of Show of The AMSS with his WO I vignette.
Marijn stept up tree time's to the podium, but this one is the one i remember the most.

I was glad to be able to finish that vignette in time for the show. About time I got it out of my system! It was a real joy to make though.

Hello Mark! I saw your amazing pieces at the show. Just mavelous! Superb painting, and in a style that I like very much. Your groundwork is also about the best to be found: very detailed and imaginative without making it look overdone. Really adding to the figure and giving it a very important personal touch. I liked them both very much, and that gold medal was more than deserved!

A pitty you couldn't make it yourself, but good that you already sent your pieces, so I (and the rest of Belgium, and parts of Holland, France and Germany) could see them!
