I have always admired Bill Horans work, i bought his Masterclass book in late nineties and still read it sometimes but more than read i look at the pictures of his master pieces. There are many great figure painters around the world but Bill Horan is my nr.1 choice.

You can tell his stuff in the dark. First impression of this particular figure brought the actor Lee Van Cleefe to mind.

Here are some of my favourites. The attached 95th Rifles figure was the first piece by Bill Horan that I saw - it was in a Military Modelling article. It really inspired me to take up the hobby.

These are my favorite figures from Bill Horan, hard to decide between that Higlander Sergeant in Crimea and the shoeless Confederate infantryman.
That Battle of the Wilderness diorama is simply a piece of art.

Some great stuff of Bills there.Especially love his Franco prussian war stuff and an old Military illustrated magazine ive had years really got me into the Cape wars era.Bill kindly messaged me awhile ago concerning Cape war era.
