Hi everyone;

This is my latest piece in 54 mm or 1/32 scale, depending on the whether you like the figure or airplane more. This figure is a little different for me for two reasons;
a. This represents the first time I have attempted a "wedge" presentation, if that's the correct term and...
b. I actually bought this figure at a store, and not online, which is becoming an increasingly rare pleasure in our hobby. Mind you I had to drive all the way to Calgary to do it, but it was fun to wander around the store for a bit. So if you're ever in Calgary, Alberta, pop around to "The Small Soldier" in the city's south side and buy something.

As always, questions, comments and criticisms are more than welcome. Thanks for looking.
Cheers;
Glenn

Many thanks to Marc, Balazs, Tony, Denes, Guy and Andrea; I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the figure. Thanks for taking a moment to comment.

Steve K and Steve R. Thanks as well gents. The combination of figures and aircraft do appeal to me as I used to do a lot of aircraft before I decided to concentrate on Figures. I have at least 4 unfinished 1/32 scale WWII fighters in the closet. Maybe I just found a way to use those airplanes!

Brent, Thanks for checking in mate. What can I say, with the wife insisting I start to pack up the studio, I wanted to get this finished in time for the move. Talk to you soon.

Cheers;
Glenn

Hi Glenn,

You have done a fine job on our Billy Bishop figure. I like the way you did the leather coat, and the boots look GREAT!

It's always nice to see our figures completed and on display. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Peter. I don't know if I have any special technique. I use oils over acrylic, and I mixed a warm grey by adding lamp black to my flesh mix, which I used for the highlites. Please let me know if there's anything else I can pass along to you, I'd be happy to help if I could.

Ray, David, Marcel and especially Paul, thanks for taking the time to add your comments. It's always a special honour when the folks who create the models take a moment to voice their approval. It's a great figure and I see myself painting a few more just like it.

Hi Glenn,

very nice work, great painting and a fantastic base.

At the moment i paint the german part, Manfred von Richthofen, it is a great inspiration for me.

I put the completly plane, Fokker Dr II, on the base.

Your figure is a fantastic motivation for me, thank you for sharing

Karsten
