Hi Everyone,

I started sculpting the bust of a Black man and I thought it would look cool if I put him in some power armour. Having skimmed through a few past issues of White Dwarf, I could not find any Black people in the Space Wolves. Would I be going out on a limb by doing so and breaking from the extensive history of the Warhammer Universe? I would like to make some moulds and cast him up if anyone thinks he is good enough, but if it is going to negate purchases by doing so (assuming it's not cos of my sculpting) I will find another theme to use him in.

What are people's thoughts on the subject?

Hi Merkin ! I wouldnt go with Space wolves!
your correct in the assumption that spacewolves dont include black warriors
however the "Salamanders" chapter do! that would be a very cool sculpt also ,
they have lizard skin capes and flame emblems!
dont forget to include a multitude of augmented implants Bionic eye maybe ?
hope to see the pics soon! . drop me a P.M. if you need mre info on Space marines ?
cheers K

thanks for that - I have PM'd you regarding this.

Does anyone know of a good resource for pictures of the salamanders or any other chapters with Black Warriors?

Also, are all the bionic implants and armour the same for each chapter? Where can I find diagrams of them?

Cheers.

Hi

As a start I'd poke around the GW site. There's loads of things there.
The forgeworld site might work too, and I think they have links to all things space marine.

thanks for that Andy - I have searched extensively for any info on the Salamanders and apart from a couple of fan sites showing pinted minis and a page on the GW site - nothing. I wil start looking for implant diagrams and such, hopefully the GW site will be more helpful with this.

Thanks Andy, I liked the tripod link - heaps of background... now if I can only find some references to the bionic side of things...

Maybe a search about techmarines would help there?
They look after the bionic side, right?

Andy
