Ventress, Bagelman, Mike, Gordon, Andrea and Xenofon, thank you all for the praises. :)

Any critics or comments are more than welcome. (y)

Moving along, it´s 4 a.m. here in Brazil. Late night with Formula One on TV are a great time to paint. :D

I´ve made the basic sketch of the Black Watch pattern, on the kilt and on the bagpipe. This is my first tartan, so, any tips are welcome.

Shadows, highlights, details, etc, only when the paint dries completely.

Now, i will work on the gear.

Another late night with Formula One :D

I´ve finished the kilt and the bagpipe. The bagpipe is not that good, but it was very hard to do. The shadows wore made like the camouflage system of Jaume Ortiz. The highlights, with A LOT of patience to highlight every single square.

Feel free to do any criticism. The photos aren´t that good, but i have to learn (y)

Olá amigo Filipe!
Interessante PAP...
A cara da figura ficou muito realista e expressiva, estando a gostar particularmente do tartan.:)
Quanto as riscas de pintura na tua mão, acho que precisam de umas luzes e sombras.:ROFLMAO::D
Acompanhando.
Abraço,
Pedro.

Keith and Martin, thank you for your comments. Feel free to do any critics.

Pedro, obrigado pelos elogios. Quanto à minha mão, a escultura original não é muito boa, o que dificulta o trabalho :D

Abraço!

Habemus...kilt? :D

Finally, i consider the kilt completed. It is not perfect, but, since is my first one, i am quite happy with the result.

As i always say and i repeat: please, critics like this is the "brutal criticism" area. (y)

Two horrible pictures, just to show the progress. Painted the base color of all elements of the body, made the division lines and started the claymore.

I hope to finish the figure in the next days, and them take some better pics.

Brutal criticism, please. (y)

Regards to all.

Two more bad pics. The figure is taking form, but there is a lot of work to do. The red coat (shadows and highlights), the pack, finish the pipe and weathering. And, of course, the terrain.

Critics and comments are welcome.

The piece is finally complete. :)

To comemorate that, i left the lazyness aside and took some better pictures this time.

I increased a bit the red highlights. The blending of the shadows still the same, altough. Also, i took off some of the Vallejo pigments, to not cover the tartan pattern and give a cleaner look to the kilt.

The new pics.
