The Battle of Tel El Kebir was fought between the Egyptian army led by Ahmed Urabi and the British military near Tell El Kebir. After discontented Egyptian officers rebelled in 1882, the United Kingdom reacted to protect its interests in the country, and in particular the Suez Canal.

figure edited by Troop54, (mainly 54 mm subjects), this is a 75 mm fig with a great attitude , which I tried to enhance with an appropriate base.
oil painted
thanks for looking !

Hi Marco,

A very nice job done. However, for future reference, the collar on the Tunic was dark blue as the Black Watch was formally titled "The Royal Highland Regiment" - royal regiments have Blue 'facings'.

Kind regards,

James

Marco, Thanks for sharing your work! Awesome piece of work too! Love your painting style and the tartan!(y) The attention to detail is phenomenal. And the groundwork setting is fantastic! Really enjoy looking at this piece of work. Would love to see it in person at our Atlanta Show this coming February 15-17:)
