Hey Bob.
This is looking good, hope you enjoy 'the next bit'
;) :)
I love this figure bob,and I'm looking forward to seeing your progress with it,I may have to get one eventualy

Peedee, cheers mate, actually the Taran is no problem =( . It's painting that and the hose.
Brian, thank you you will enjoy it and be nice to see your stamp on it.

Looking at the close up, can one paint tartan using semi transparent dilutions of paint?

This may be one way to replicate the subtle blending of the weaving (trying to replicate the twill is perhaps a step too far for anything under 1:1 scale).

A little more painting and the tartan is taking shape

Very nice work Bob.
Painting tartan is guaranteed to make you go cross-eyed ... I speak from a little experience.

Cheers,
Andrew

Brilliant work, Bob - that tartan is really taking shape now, & I like the shade you've chosen for the red jacket too.

Thankyou Chris and Andrew, testing my eyes alright but it's 75mm so it's a bit easier on the old eyes
