I decided to do some strictly fun and fairly quick painting to relax. Moving down in size from Oniria's 36mm to Knuckleduster's 30mm, I selected Sheriff Bart from Blazing Saddles and Rooster Cogburn from True Grit.
Sheriff Bart is painted as is with only minimal cleanup and comes complete with his Gucci saddle bags. His horse is in Prancing mode just because he's cool.
Rooster Cogburn was a little more challenging. He comes with the horse reins similar to Sheriff Bart's but also has the reins being held in Rooster's mouth. Since the reins between horse and rider don't really connect, I decided to fully remove them with a rotary grinder/polisher and replace them with new ones made from black electric tape.
I love these Knuckleduster figures and will definitely be doing more. I am also waiting for some more Oniria 36mm figures to arrive and in addition ordered some Boot HIll 28-30mm miniatures of Crocket, Travis and Bowie at the Alamo.
Exciting times ahead!
As usual painted all in acrylics with Magic Sculpt groundwork.
Finally, as a size comparison for my non-hobbyist friends and family I included a photo of Rooster Cogburn next to a U.S. Nickel.
Thanks for looking, take care and stay safe.
