Oils Blood and small cuts

Hi All

Looking for ideas on painting blood and small cuts in oils, small wounds to flesh areas and wet and dry splatters on clothing.

Any ideas would be much appreciated as this is something that I have always struggled with amongst many other things.

Hi Tommi, One thing to keep in mind is the underlying colour. A dark colour will make the blood pretty much black (matt), lighter make the colour of the blood stains richer not lighter. Hope this helps.
