Progress from yesterday evening, the main base colour given some washes Vallejo ModelAir Signal Blue, and some more light buffing of the metal helmet.

Highlights to the blue today then more thin blue washes.

Catch you later.

More progress to day, highlights to tunic, base colour on buttons and shoulder patch, Citadel Earth Wash on collar and epaulettes.

Fine detailing now with some touching up in required areas and another coat or two on the plume once I know I shan't be touching it much again.

I almost forgot must finish the crossbelt, painted the red but the rest is still primer.

Excellent, Geoff. I really like what you’ve done with the helmet, it looks polished but not so much as to mask the details, & the Citadel earth washes on the lacework defines the detail so well.

Many thanks Chris, yes I am pleased now with my last buff up on the helmet. The lacework still needs some work on it but pleased with it so far.

Cheers

Sorry mate, I seem to have more time but then I don't have to write reviews, etc.

I have slightly changed the way I do the face by adding a touch of violet to the flesh around the eyes near the nose.

The helmet is such a lovely casting and as you know I love doing that type of detailing.

The blue and red really does stand out, I think it's the deep gold/yellow with it that helps.

Yes, Yeovil will soon be coming up, what is the date??

Cheers

Adding the violet works well mate and the look of the gold is very effective

The helmet details are ideal for you

As for Yeovil
