Andy - I have been trying to find a copy of Bob's book for the last couple years.

If anyone knows where they can be bought or has a copy they'd be willing to sell or trade for, pls PM me.

Would Bob be amenable to some questions on his earlier works? I thought it polite to ask in case he (understandably) may not want to. PS A big welcome to an inspiring painter....

Bob and I talk on the phone several times a week and he has stated to me for anyone who may have a question on his figures, please feel free to ask on any of his figures. Bob and his computor are not on friendly terms so I have agreed to be the intermediary for questions asked on planetfigure.

I just have one question.

How he did it???

Serious: can he not do an "seminar" on PF how he paint a Native American.
( I have in stock a bust of The Imperial Gallerie it is a great chief who is really suffering without paint).
That sure would't apreciated.

Bob sent me an email responding to Jim Shiver's question about his paint formula.

"Guy,

Thanks for the inquiry from Jim from "down under". I am at a loss what he means by the "warm blue effect" on the tunic. The only thing I can fathom is he means the highlight features. Here is the complete formula: dark (military) blue, Phthalo Blue (W/N Blue) + Mars Black to suit the value (light - dark values) of the dark blue; highlight - use a Cobalt Turquois Blue or a Turquois Blue for all highlights. If unavailable, use - Winsor Blue + White + a bit of Viridian Green, depending on the extent of the green hue you want to the basic blue/green Turquois.

That should do it. I am sorry the books will not be reprinted and are unavailable.

Best to all,

Bob"
